For Immediate Release
MANCHESTER, NH July 19, 2021 – The campaign of Republican Manchester mayoral candidate Richard Girard released the endorsement of Jim Gaudet, today. Gaudet, a Republican, is Chairman of the Concerned Taxpayers of Manchester (CTM). He is a 35 year resident of Manchester, former Republican city delegate and current Ward 8 Moderator. Gaudet and his wife have four adult daughters. He is a Marine veteran, a retired law enforcement officer and currently runs the Loss Prevention Department for Associated Grocers.
In accepting the endorsement, Girard thanked Gaudet for his service to our city and nation. “Like those who’ve served in our military or on the streets of our communities, Jim has put himself in harm’s way to protect others and I thank him for that. In retirement, he continues to serve through his involvement with a variety of organizations and causes, including alerting the taxpayers of our city to the spendthrift ways of the mayor and too many of its aldermen. He’s also taken aldermen on when they’ve violated the Conflict of Interest provisions in the city charter, speaking when few others, if any, dared. I trust taxpayers will treasure his work as I treasure his endorsement!”
Statement of support from CTM Chairman Jim Gaudet:
“I am endorsing Rich because he has an in-depth understanding of budgetary numbers and the mechanisms of Manchester city government. He has experience on both the municipal and school district side as well as administration and in negotiations. He has a solid reputation for doing his homework and knowing the facts.
“Rich Girard is the needed change to arrest the downward spiral this city is in and he has my support and endorsement and I urge voters to do the same.”
