For Immediate Release
MANCHESTER, NH. July 19, 2021 – The campaign of Republican Manchester mayoral candidate Richard Girard released the endorsement of Ed Naile, Chairman of the Coalition of NH Taxpayers (CNHT). Naile, a Democrat who once ran to be the state party chair, is the longtime chair of the statewide taxpayer watchdog group that has also actively assisted residents with Right to Know requests to their local governments and schools, and aggressively investigated and exposed voter fraud in the state. CNHT is keeper of “The Pledge” to which candidates for statewide office swear they will oppose the imposition of a broad-based sales or income tax in New Hampshire.
In accepting the endorsement, Girard praised Naile’s work. “Ed’s efforts to fight wasteful spending and unnecessary taxes across the state are the stuff of legend. He has helped form, advise or support countless local taxpayer groups, including Concerned Taxpayers of Manchester. His use of and his helping local people use the Right to Know law has tastefully exposed corruption and wasteful spending in communities and school districts across the state. Nobody has done more to show the flaws in our voter laws and how they’ve been flouted than Ed Naile. I am proud to have him stand with me in this election and am honored he’s doing so.”
Statement of support from Ed Naile, Chairman of the Coalition of NH Taxpayers:
He crunches numbers, offers practical solutions, is whip smart, knows Manchester like the back of his hand and is fair to people.
Rich Girard’s history working in City Hall and on the school committee shows he will look out for every dollar spent and every citizen of Manchester.
Now is the time to make Rich Girard Manchester’s next mayor.
